Alright it's been a while but I'm finally back. I never thought I'd reach the days when I'm actually somewhat happy Christmas is a whole year away. Mine was spent with family (my Grandma, Step-Bro and fam, and Step-Sis) Santa was pretty good to me this year too (no clue why). Some notable gifts included a full (or winter) wetsuit, a digital camera, a uhhh.....Canadian Flag .......yea.....belt buckle, and some Flannel Spider-Man boxers! Good stuff! Alright, more to come later!

Words of Wisdom from Dr. Hunter S. Thompson:
"I understand that fear is my friend, but not always. Never turn your back on Fear. It should always be in front of you, like a thing that might have to be killed."

I think I met the perfect woman today. She was about 5"4 (I felt tall) blonde hair, blue-eyed with a well-proportioned tail and best of all, she was the representative for the Green Flash Brewing Company. Man, I think I'm in love......
I just got back from a Hip-Hop show in Mira Mesa. The first 3 hours were local MC's and DJ's from San Diego and San Diego County. The local rappers ranged in skill from decent to laughably horrible. This one guy especially, Blade-1 or something was talking about how he was going to shoot everybody in the building. This might have been threatening except the CD he was rapping over (he was the one guy who didn't have a DJ) kept skipping so he would have to pause to finish lines. His mix of homicidal lyrics and amateurish stage presence was great for a laugh. I was starting to regret going to this show rather than watching the last Survivor until Mr. Lif and Akrobatics hit the stage. The two MC's built an energy level up that was sorely lacking the rest of the night. The two easily traded rhymes off each other, at least doing 4 words a second. Also Lif's dreads where crazy big. Alright, time to crash before work. Peace out.

Despite working an 8 hour shift, spilling my lunch on myself on break, and having my six-pack stolen by a friend (you'll get yours, you swine!), I had a pretty fun Saturday night in SDSU. But I guess not for Saddam, eh? Man, living in a basement really doesn't do wonders for the complexion. A good fear that my friend Mario has pointed out is this probably boosts Bush's re-election chances. Well hopefully all you registered voter Taylor.com fans remember that catching the guy is one thing but maybe the Pres. should be judged on how he handles Saddam after he's got him. Laters.

Survivor: Panama goes into it's final episode this Sunday with 4 of its most despicable players yet. Of all the 4, the only one I would be really opposed to winning would be Lil simply because she has ridden the coatails of other members and hasn't really done much of anything except complain. Jon has been probably the dirtiest player ever on Survivor (he lied about his Grandma being dead to win a challenge) but he has manipulated the game from day one (and even sooner) and deserves to be a winner. more later....grammas kicking me out of the room.

To anyone who cares, there is a little swell hitting South Cali right now. Surf was about 4-foot today and really clean. The water temp is getting chillier everyday though. The swell should stay around until about Thursday. If it doesn't rain I'll be going out then so anyone I know with testicular fortitude (hmm........nobody) paddle out with a brotha. Peace!
Bad news in Carlsbad. There was a shooting at one of the local Mexican food joints (one of the better ones too) Cessy's right in the middle of downtown Carlsbad (the village). So weird to think I drive by this place everyday on my trek from home to work. Apparently it was an ex-employee that was obsessed with a female co-worker of his, and was frustrated with his lack of a relationship with her. He entered the parking lot and fired shots on her and her cousin, killing both. To read more about it, copy and paste the website below. My condolences to the families of the victims. I'll try to post something a little more cheerful next time.

Interesting day at work today. Well first of all, I got hit on by a senior citizen.........again. Man I swear I should ditch bagging their groceries and starting taking them out on dates Duece Bigalow style. The second cool thing (well not for the person it happened too) is that I think one of my co-workers was the victim of a sting operation. Seems he was trying to make a little extra "green" on the side, know I'm saying? Well first of all I saw this cop in plain clothes or what the kids call a Narc (for Narcotics Agent) talking to two gangsta-clad homeboys ( I knew he was a cop because his car had cages between the backseat and driver seat and he also had government tags!). Next the homeboys go and pick up the suspected dealer (the guy in the Meat Dept.) to get suspected drugs. They all get into the meat guy's car and then pull out followed by the Narc in his ride. I saw this little drama unfold on one of my many cart runs. Never a dull day working in O'Side I guess. Sure as hell would never see that in La Costa. So what have we learned today? Don't sell dope to dudes that talk into their shirts! Anyways, that's what I did today.......Later.

Now that I got a job and all again, I'm starting to look at some CD's that came out while I was broke and what-not. The biggest ones I'm hoping to pick up that should be dope is the 2 LP's put out by my man J-Live. Also his labelmates, Blue Black and Asheru got a new one out called 48 Hours which is getting pretty dope reviews. So if there's anyone out there (Mario, I'm pretty much talking to you) looking for some bumping new Hip-Hop, score yourself these CD's. Or you could wait for me to get paid and then copy mine. As far as rock goes, I still haven't gotten the Kings Of Leon album even though they're in my top 5 bands right not. Probably top 3 actually... Oh! and gotta get the new Blink.........yea right. Alright, well keep keeping it real. I'm out!

Well, my unemployment days are unfortunately coming to an end. Boney's market on Oceanside Blvd. will be welcoming me with open arms and 37 hours. Just take a dive right into the deep end.....the waters fine.....Anyway, it will be good to be working again. No more eating from dumpsters. And I might be able to get a few people Christmas gifts this year (not to mention all the b-day gifts I owe...).
On a completely unrelated note, my knee is healing up nicely from the injury I sustained on Friday. For those of you that don't know, I injured myself while playing football against some buddies. It was the first play of the first game and I managed to get tackled in the one dirt spot in the whole field by the two of the biggest players. I tried to post pictures on this site but that is a feature that only "paying" members get so if you want to see the wound just ask me and I'll happily roll up my pant leg for you.
Also, the latest on the Big Bear Trip '03 is that it will actually take place '04 sometime between Jan. 5-10th. Request time off now. Peace.
